It is managed by RTC North, an established technology transfer company, NHS Innovations North are responsible for the identification, protection and commercialisation of new healthcare ideas from NHS staff.
The unit licence out NHS intellectual property in return for a royalty stream back in to the NHS.
NHS Innovations North are in a unique position that allows access to ideas eminating from both formal scientific research and ideas generating from front line NHS staff.
